CHTU Update - January 22, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

The Heights Coalition for Public Education is a great partnership between educators, parents, and other community members.  Supporting this group's efforts of educating people about the testing and privatization in public schools is worth our time.
Join us on Monday, January 29 for the first of three forums this winter on Democracy in Education.  At 7:00 PM in the high school cafeteria we will hear from Superintendents from three school districts (CHUH, Olmsted Falls, and Woodridge).  They will let us know what they are doing to fight back against state policy that works against the best interests of their students and school districts. Then there will be questions.

There is free pizza at 6:15 PM. There is also free childcare at 7:00 PM.  Please sign up for either or both of these (link here).  There is no registration required for the forum.

If you have not yet signed to endorse the Coalition's position statement, please link here.

Also, many advocates are celebrating public education this week.  Link here to simple actions you can do suggested by the Network for Public Education.

In Union,
Ari Klein
CHTU President
