CHTU Update - November 29, 2011

December 2nd Payroll. Your December 2nd pay will automatically include the additional per diem payment for one of the two negotiated “Independent Professional Activity Days” (Section 25.08 of the contract). You can calculate your daily rate by dividing your yearly salary by 190 (i.e. BA-Step 1: $40,500/190 = $213.16 – gross; MA Step 14: $82,100/190 = $432.11 - gross). Monitors will receive their negotiated additional paid five holidays in their January 13th pay.
FSA Deadline. Reminder: we are in the enrollment period for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) which allows you to pay child & elder care and medical expenditures not covered by insurance with pre-tax with money deducted from your paychecks. The deadline to enroll is Friday December 16th. Information and forms are available on our Union website, www.chtu.org.
 
Employee Assistance. One of our negotiated benefits often overlooked is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) called IMPACT operated by Impact Solutions Inc. Our EAP provides round the clock referral services and confidential assistance for a wide range of problems including:
