Thanksgiving Recess is on the horizon, and with only 4 school days until break, we hope that you are looking forward to a break that involves rest, relaxation, and no school work! Please consider pausing your school email inbox, putting up a vacation response, or both. CHTU Committee Reports - October 2022

Dear Colleagues,

We are very happy to report that after many discussions with the district, Summit has approved AFLAC as voluntary, supplemental insurance. AFLAC offers many different options that might be right for you and your family. We now have a group plan and district representative, Derrick Fellows, who can help you with any supplemental insurance you may need. AFLAC plans are available for post-tax payroll deduction. This is all completely voluntary and separate from anything that is offered through our union or the school district. You can read more about AFLAC and what they offer

CHTU Update - September 14, 2022

Dear Colleagues,

Our September Executive Board meeting will be held at our office tomorrow, September 15, at 4:00 pm. The union office is located at the Coventry Peace Campus (2843 Washington Blvd). Executive Board meetings are open to all members of 795.

Did you take courses over the summer? If you have enough credits to advance up the salary schedule, the deadline to submit your transcripts to Human Resources is September 15 according to our contract. You will have another opportunity January 15 if you miss the fall deadline.
