TWO MARCH DEADLINES.
· If you are eligible for a continuing contract, all official transcripts of graduate course work must be submitted to the Human Resources Department by March 20th.
· If you are planning to retire at the end of this school year and you are eligible to receive the $24,000 retirement incentive, you must notify the Board in writing by March 1st of your intention to retire. We will draft the necessary letter and assist you. Please go to our website at www.chtu.org and click on “FAQ’s Retirement” for additional information.
WALGREENS IS IN. You may recall that in December of 2007 the Board and the Union negotiated to move to Medco/Medical Mutual of Ohio as the carrier for our Prescription Drug plan. At that time, Walgreen’s was not one of the network providers covered by Medco/Medical Mutual of Ohio. We have been informed, and you may have seen the signs, that Walgreen’s is now covered under our plan.
UNION COMES TO YOU. Our Local 795 Union Comes to You series of lunch meetings begin this week. Please make every effort to attend. We can expect to see some major changes education policy coming, and we want to hear your views, especially as they relate to the governor’s proposals on funding and teacher quality.
