  1. Call to Order at 4:50 pm  after Divisional Meetings
  2. Secretary Minutes from October 2022
    1. T. Underhile moved to accept the Secretary’s minutes from the October 2022 Executive Board Meeting. Seconded by J. Shelton-Townes; Voice Vote. Motion approved.
  3. Officers’ Reports:
    1. Divisional Vice Presidents
      1. Middle School - Wendy Ward Price
        1. Both experiencing lack of cleaners
        2. Monti - lack of space for success tutors
        3. Rox - lack of working copiers (some of been replaced and no training)
          1. Lack of discipline at 7th grade level
            1. Feeling unsupported
          2. Class coverages increases and more mandatory up to two times a day
            1. Suggest to look at pay again (Substitutes) 
          3. Cafeteria back open and lacking adults (pay is prorated)
          4. Administration not in building on time
          5. 11/29 PD - lunch should be an hour and 15 min for lunch to account for travel
          6. PD being snuck in during staff meetings (without TAP approval)
          7. Students not receiving ELA intervention services as well as in co-taught classrooms (brought to Summit)
          8. Chinese teacher not returning this year; other teachers absorbing and should be putting in for pay
      2. Elementary - Darrell Lausche & Tina Reynolds
        1. Rodents in several buildings; concerns around cleanliness and disease
          1. Encourage stewards to send an email to principal regarding to concerns (cc Karen and Tiffiny)
        2. Inequity - additional grade sections being added
          1. Specialists absorbing special ed classes
        3. Inequity around meetings for the ELA pilots; are they mandatory and the protocol for the meetings
        4. Teachers subbing; different people being pulled to cover
          1. Can Success Tutors be pulled to sub?
            1. No language in LOU? 
            2. They are funded with ESSR funds and hourly employees
      3. High School - C. Pavel 
        1. Students not held accountable for being in the wrong place at the wrong time
          1. Need more security officers and adults supervisors
            1. Hall sweeps (teachers being asked to help during planning period)
            2. Teachers being blamed for inaccurate attendance (absent students coming in late); there is a report on IC for student absences and tardies 
            3. No consequences for tardies to class (present if they are in class for any period of time).
        2. Low morale in building; students are behind academically, socially, and emotionally (lack of resources for these students)
        3. Fear that SPED students are not fully being served 
    2. Vice-President
      1. Time turned over to M. Cecconi (Student Services)
        1. School Nurses (down 1 nurse and the substitute is resigning)
          1. Monti and Oxford are left uncovered and medically needs of students are not being met
          2. Nurses wrote a letter and all nurses signed it (to Lombardo, Rego, and Lidell-Anderson)
            1. Lombardo replied to head nurse and have two subs coming 
    3. President
      1. Share with members to know how much out of their deductible and coinsurance has been spent.  If it has been met, and you need something done, do it before the end of the year!

    1. Illuminate Ed Chaos
      1. Elementary tests are poorly made
  5. New Business  
    1. Secondary Conferences Feedback Survey
      1. Time was mutually agreed upon times; teachers asking for different times over two days; 
      2. Current results
        1. 50% keep it the same (2-8 with 30 min break and recording extra time)
        2. 29% 2-8 (with one hour break) 
        3. 20% 2-9 (with one hour and no recording outside of day)
    2. Elementary Report Cards Survey
      1. Going out after Thanksgiving Break
      2. Please encourage participation
    3. 200 day employees and sick leave
      1. All members get 1.25 days per month
      2. Full day is 7.5 hours
      3. Please make sure 200 day employees have seen the published update
    4.  FSA enrollment
      1. Coming up soon (usually comes at the end of November)
        1. Virtual workshop for FSA and Benefits being held
    5. Intervention Specialists
      1. Shortage and IEP’s getting put on other IS’s
        1. Two people being moved in elementary
      2. IS’s have 3 IEP writing days; if more days are needed seek approval through principals and Lidell-Anderson will approve/deny. (please notify if days are denied)
        1. Encourage IS’s to take their IEP writing days
    6. Other New Business
      1. Applied for Community Schools Grant through AFT
        1. Oxford 
      2. Payroll
        1. Past practice has been getting email stub sent on Wednesday
        2. Action - Send email to Arlene M, Toney,  and Scott Gainer
          1. Can you please give me a breakdown of what the payments are for this pay period? (CC Karen and/or Tiffiny)
        3. Elementary - put in for coverage for pull out teachers 
        4. There is a new form for all buildings under “forms” on the CHUH website
