  1. Call to Order at 4:54pm  after Divisional Meetings
  2. Secretary Minutes from September 2022
    1. T. Underhile moved to accept the Secretary’s minutes from the September 2022 Executive Board Meeting. Seconded by M. Freidman; Voice Vote. Motion approved.
  3. Officers’ Reports:
    1. Divisional Vice Presidents
      1. Middle School - Wendy Ward Price
        1. Monti still experiencing shortage of cleaners
          1. Secondary Conferences
          2. District Walkthroughs
        2. Weed, threats written on the wall, lack of discipline/consequences
      2. Elementary - Darrell Lausche & Tina Reynolds
        1. Unit Test Calendar Concerns
        2. Bus delays in the morning (as much as 30 minutes)
        3. Heating and Cooling; Leaking ceilings windows and roof
        4. Boulevard Adding First Grade
          1. Impact on specialists and equity; gen and special ed inequity (one school own specials and other school inclusion with gen ed)
      3. High School - C. Pavel 
        1. Change in conferences (in past going from 3-9 has been long night with no breaks); Miscommunication and options
        2. Special Ed Teacher concerns and caseloads (higher than ever 17-20)
        3. Hall Crowding/Mass smoking of weed in bathrooms
    2. Vice-President
      1. Yard signs at office for election day 
      2. Union canvassing day at PJ McIntyre’s
      3. Absentee ballot applications - recommended to drop off at ballot box at board of elections or give to a clerk 
      4. Postcards need to be written (let Tiffiny know if you have a union meeting coming up and are willing to help)
    3. President
      1. Committee Reports
        1. Grieved a computer charge and will continue to grieve this instances
    4. Treasurer
      1. Reviewed Quarter 1 Report through September 30, 2022
  4. Old Business
    1. Secondary Conferences
      1. 2p-8p with 30 min break 
        1. High school should still be able to attend virtually if needed
          1. Virtual can be chaotic with meeting in media center and cafeteria
        2. Access should be given to the restroom 
      2. Middle School - Can teachers block out 2 bathroom breaks in schedule before being sent to conferences? (Link already sent out for High School)
    2. Student Debt
      1. Biden application posted Friday, October 14 ($100,000 or 200,0000 if you had Pell Grant)
      2. October 31 deadline for PSLF (after that back payments may not be counted)
    3. TUSH
      1. Fun - good food and only half of social budget spent
    4. AFLAC
      1. Now available for members and completely voluntary (come out of paycheck)
    5. PD hours
      1. Public Works training
        1. Elem or Middle - puts us over the 4 hours allotted for PD
          1. Built into schedule on PD day for Public Works 
          2. Advise to not do them YET
        2. Play close attention to the hours 
  5. New Business  
    1. Postcards
      1. A lot filled out during TUSH and will pass out to buildings to those who are interesting
    2.  Coventry Peace Pops
      1. Taking place inside the building.  Family friendly event.  5pm-7pm for candy crawl; other events until midnight
    3. District Learning Walks
      1. Not evaluative; Keep an eye on what happens during learning walk and what lands on OTES
    4.  Illuminate Ed Chaos and Pilot
      1. Administrators were told to do it on time or else
      2. New form coming that needs to be filled out after each Unit Assessment
      3. Keep an eye and maybe an action needed in future
      4. Math pilot process going well so far 
      5. ELA Pilot - twice committee voted and narrowed down to 3 and one specific program keeps coming back after being rejected (CKLA)
    5. Other New Business
      1. Karen spoke with CTU President - AFT is offering a civics program for social studies teachers in Cleveland (Nov 18-20) for anyone wants to attend (can give an union day and stay downtown - up to three members)
